Blood and Shame is a ten minute play that I wrote. It takes place in 17th century Croatia. It is a story about a young man about to duel an experienced soldier. A rash decision made after finding out the soldier had slept with his lover.
Black Whale is a short story about Edward, a sailor who can hear whale songs. The songs conjure the void of the ocean. With this gift he can help the captain find and hunt these whales. However, Edward’s sea is even more dangerous than our own.
My Dear Demon is a short piece of interactive fiction about a fledgling witch about to complete the ceremony and become a professional. On their way, a demon steps in their path, ready to judge them.
“The origin of the smell appears, blocking your path forward. Something resembling a man towers over you. It would appear even taller, but it has a terrible hunch. Horns protrude from its head, curling downwards. One horn pierces its neck, a droplet of black blood falls from the wound. Its dirty black beard, crusty and stained around its mouth, brushes the ground. It wears a patchwork cloak, made of animal skin not yet cured. In a flash of recognition, you realize you have seen it before, depicted in a book sitting by your bedside. A book of demons. The demon opens its mouth, revealing several rows of pointy teeth, and out comes a voice like honey that makes your spine tingle.
O sweet child where dost thou go? Down this path is naught but pain inflicted by foolish hags and geezers.”
